Greeting
Hello.
I am Kazuto Mukojima, owner of Mukojimaen.
Thank you very much for choosing our garden among so many others.
I am also deeply grateful to our loyal customers for your continued patronage and enjoyment of our tea.
Thank you.
It has been 23 years since I began cultivating tea. Throughout this time, I have consistently maintained an integrated approach of growing, processing, and selling my own tea. Without relying on advertising, I have been supported by word-of-mouth recommendations from customers. At times, I have received feedback from discerning customers, which has helped me grow. I am deeply grateful to everyone. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks.
Nowadays, many people are engaged in organic farming and have established their own farming methods.
I find myself nostalgic for the early days when I knew nothing and spent my days trial and error.
Amidst this, one thing has remained unchanged since the very beginning: viewing things from the tea's perspective. I see tea as a living being just like myself. The idea of “life to life,” rather than “human versus tea,” resonates deeply within me.
Looking back now, I am convinced this is the most important principle for practicing organic cultivation without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and it is the very policy of Hapii Mukojimaen. And even now, having cultivated skills and experience, this remains the sentiment I cherish most deeply. This very conviction is the energy that has sustained me, someone who started with no expertise, to this very day.
Finally, as mentioned earlier, it has been 23 years since I began cultivating tea. From the perspective of tea cultivation, these 23 years amount to only 23 experiences. In other words, I have only cultivated tea 23 times. Nature is profoundly deep, and even now, it is a continuous stream of new discoveries. It constantly teaches me many things. I wish to continue responding to this natural world with an unchanging passion in my heart.
My exploration of the world of tea continues. The ultimate tea I aim for is not merely delicious, but one that allows one to sense the profound taste of life itself.
